NBICT-GZ Cultural and Creative Industry Cooperation
Guangzhou, 12 March 2025 – The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou met with NBICT‑GZ officials to explore collaboration in animation, game development, and cultural exchange. Director General Chen Zewen highlighted Guangdong’s 40% share of the global gaming and animation market and its growing partnerships with RCEP economies like the Philippines. The Consulate invited NBICT‑GZ to join Philippine animation and gaming exhibitions and work with the Animation Council and Game Development Association of the Philippines. Officials also expressed interest in engaging Filipino designers in Guangdong to showcase Philippine art.
