Report of Marriage (ROM)

 

Marriages of both Filipino nationals, or between a Filipino and a Foreigner solemnized outside the Philippines or the Philippine Embassy/Consulate must be registered or reported to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) through the Philippine Embassy or Consulate which has the jurisdiction over the place where the event took place.

Only marriages that took place under the consular jurisdiction of PCG Guangzhou can be registered or reported to the Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou: Guangdong, Hunan, Hainan and Guangxi Zhuang provinces.  

 

Requirements:

 1.  Personal appearance of both parties; 

 2.  Duly accomplished ROM form;

Four (4) sets of the following:

 3. Marriage Certificate apostilled by the Chinese Foreign Affairs Office (1 original and 4 photocopies);

 4.  Photocopies of passports;

 5.   Affidavit of Delayed Registration of Marriage (if applicable); and,

6.  Payment of consular fees:

RMB190.00 for ROM;

RMB190.00 for Affidavit of Delayed Registration (if applicable).

 

Procedures:

1.  Prepare all of the required documents;

2.  Proceed to Window 1 of the Consular Section and request for a copy of the ROM form;

3.  Fill-out the form properly and completely;

4.  Submit the accomplished form to Window 1 together with the required documents;

5.  The Consular Officer will evaluate the documents and will issue the payment slip;

6.  Pay the consular fees to Window 5, and go back to Window 1 for instructions;

7.  The consular Officer will review and prepare the four (4) sets of the application;

8.  Review all the entries reflected in the Report of Marriage before signing;

9.  Wait for the instructions from the Consular Officer for the schedule of release of the processed document.
